Susan Slaughter, Principal trumpet of the St. Louis Symphony, announced today the release of a new HOLIDAY BRASS CD. The HOLIDAY BRASS CD includes traditional holiday favorites such as Silent Night, Ave Maria, Oh Holy Night, Joy to the World and many more.
Performed by the Holiday Brass Ensemble, the Chancel Choir of Central Presbyterian Church, the St. Louis Children’s Choirs – Concert Coir and Cathedral Basilica organist John Romeri, the CD also features Slaughter as soloist and arranger.
Slaughter noted that the CD’s release date is perfectly timed for the Holiday shopper seeking a new and unique holiday gift for friends, family and business employees – a volume discount is available.
The CDs cost $15 each and proceeds from sales will be used to support the International Women’s Brass Conference (IWBC), a not-for-profit organization, founded by Slaughter in 1992. The next IWBC is scheduled for June 14-17, 2006 in Jacksonville, FL.
